Hostels
K.E.S Hostels were started in 2001. The management provides hostel facilities separately for men and women within the campus. The present strength of the hostellers is 600+. The two hostels are under the charge of a Chief Warden. His devotion to duty and keen observation enable to inmates to carry on their studies well. Order and discipline are well maintained in the hostel.
Girl's Hostel
The girl’s hostel is named as “Kalpana Chawla” hostel. It has capacity to accommodate 330 students.
Men's Hostel
The hostel meant for boys is called “Vivekananda” hostel. It accommodates 300 students. The rooms are well furnished.
SPORTS
Sports, Music, Drama, Industrial visits, Dance etc are all part of students schedule. It is rightly said that "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". The students who wishes to be Professional in any of the extra-curricular activity is given the appropriate support and guidance to fulfill his/her dreams.
An extensive coaching is given for Cricket, Volley ball, Basket ball, Table Tennis, Shuttle Badminton, Chess, Caroms. Teams are formed for respective games and they are trained regularly for state and zonal sports meets. In house and departmental games are conducted annually.
Anti-ragging Policy
K.E.C. follows the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1997 in letter and spirit. It is well known that ragging is banned in the country by the Supreme Court of India.
K.E.C. is taking serious note of ragging of any type. Ragging is prohibited inside the college campus and elsewhere by the students of K.E.C. Stringent action is taken against those who indulge in ragging. To discourage and to prevent ragging the following steps are being taken by the management.
Anti-ragging posters are displayed on the main Notice-Board, in the Hostels, Dining halls, Library, Canteen and other prominent places.
Anti-ragging Committees are formed to monitor anti-ragging activities by the students in the hostels.
Anti-ragging Committees are formed to prevent ragging activities of the senior students on the fresher’s, inside and outside the college campus.
The students of this college are made to given an undertaking individually that he/she will not indulge in acts of ragging.
Faculty counselors are appointed and each of them is entrusted with the care of 20 students.
Many Committees are formed with faculty to keep vigil in the college campus, in Boy’s Hostel and in Girl’s Hostel.
