Research & Development

Research & Development (R&D) Cell at Kuppam Engineering College is to provide an inclusive environment for the promotion and support of research and development activities in newly emerging areas of Engineering, Technology, Science and Humanities including multidisciplinary fields.  The staff and students are expected to develop innovative thinking and intellectual curiosity in the incubation centres. The R&D Cell is committed to technology-driven collaborations and linking the academic research with teaching curriculum. This cell is one of the wings of the Institute which facilitates, mentors, channelizes and regulates all the academic, sponsored, collaborative research projects and consultancy works in the Institute. Faculties of various departments have received funding from agencies like DST, UGC, AICTE, MHRD and IEI. The institute also remains committed to long-term research as the foundation for future development.

faculty and students in the areas of interdisciplinary research and development
by providing seed funds for implementing their innovative ideas and product
development through incubation and startup centers.

Mission:-

1. To motivate faculty and students to undertake research and development activities
2. To encourage interdisciplinary R&D projects leading to solutions to real world problems through synthesis of diverse ideas and skills
3. To assist the faculty, Ph.D. scholars and students to apply for funding under various Government, Professional Chapter or Private sector schemes.
4. To register under Intellectual Property Rights like Patents & copyright the outcome of R&D work carried out by the faculty and students of the Institution.
5. To facilitate signing of MOU linkage with industries and R&D organizations for research and product development
