Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Graduates will have:

PEO-1 : Successful professional career in infrastructural design and development.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Graduates of Civil Engineering from Kuppam Engineering College are able to:

PO1 Engineering knowledge: To apply knowledge of mathematics, basic sciences, and engineering.

PO2 Problem analysis: To identify, formulate, and solve basic civil engineering problems

PO3 Design/development of solutions: To analyze civil engineering structures, processes and systems

PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: To synthesize, design and develop a system, component or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health, safety and sustainability.

PO5 Modern tool usage: To use latest planning, estimation, analysis and design software and innovative construction practices.

PO6 The engineer and society: To provide sustainable solutions to civil engineering problems faced by the society at large.

PO7 Environment and sustainability: To analyze the local and global impact of civil engineering solutions within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health, safety and sustainability.

PO8 Ethics: To have better understanding and acceptance of professional, social, moral and ethical responsibilities and good knowledge of contemporary issues.

PO9 Individual and team work: To function as a member /leader in a civil engineering or multidisciplinary project.

PO10 Communication: To Communicate their ideas effectively in verbal and written forms.

PO11 Project management and finance: To demonstrate knowledge in latest developments in the field of civil engineering, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

PO12 Life-long learning: To develop an attitude to engage in life-long learning through independent study and by participating in professional conferences, workshops, seminars, or continuing education.

Program Specific Outcomes

The graduates will be able to:

PSO1: develop an ability to use latest equipment and softwares to design, analyse, detail and make estimates of civil works.

PSO2: design civil engineering structures with in-depth knowledge and realistic approach.
